PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling operation of a system so as to optimize operation cost.;SOLUTION: The operation of a system 600 is controlled according to a control locus represented by a solution of a set of differential equations satisfying a boundary condition, and the set of differential equations includes a sequenced piecewise differential equation. The set of differential equations is parameterized to provide one set of first parameters representing values of solutions at a switching point of time and one set of second parameters representing values of the switching point of time.
