PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent inability of reading and writing of data stored in an existing storage medium in a case of exchanging drives.;SOLUTION: A library apparatus 1 detects exchange of a drive 1b. The library apparatus 1 notifies a management apparatus 2 of administrative information of the exchanged drive 1b. The management apparatus 2 determines a storage medium in storage media 3 held to the library apparatus 1 which is not possible at least one of the reading or writing of data as a data conversion target storage medium 3a based on the correspondence of administrative information and storage media, and transmits a data conversion instruction from the storage medium 3a to another storage medium 3b. When the library apparatus 1 receives the data conversion instruction, the library apparatus 1 transfer data stored in the data conversion target storage medium 3a to the another storage medium 3b based on the data conversion instruction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
