PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential signal failure detection device and others, capable of easily identifying whether a failure is located in a transmission end or a reception end.;SOLUTION: A differential signal failure detection device 10 for detecting a failure in first and second transmission lines 93a and 93b in which two signals A and B having phases opposite to each other are transmitted, respectively, includes waveform generation means 20, abnormality detection means 30, and failure detection means 40. The waveform generation means 20 generates a waveform (a signal C) indicating symmetry of the signals A and B flowing in the transmission lines 93a and 93b. The abnormality detection means 30 detects abnormality (a signal E) of the waveform (a signal C) generated by the waveform generation means 20.
