PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-fold joining device and a two-fold joining method, capable of rapidly and easily joining basis materials regardless of a quality of the material thereof.;SOLUTION: A two-fold joining device 1 is provided with: an edge folding means 49 for folding back a pair of first edge parts 13 of a basis material 11 inward in a width direction of the basis material 11; a basis material folding means 51 for folding the basis material 11 into two in the middle in the longitudinal direction to make a pair of second edge parts 15 face the pair of first edge parts 13; a pressing means for pressing the pair of first edge parts 13 and the pair of second edge parts 15 mutually to each other; and a heater.
