PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding bearing device for a structure that has a simple structure, can be used in a state of a low friction coefficient by increasing the surface pressure of a sliding surface, and also can accurately horizontally bring a lower part sliding member into surface-contact with an upper sliding member in spite of the presence of a certain amount of unevenness on the lower part structure side.SOLUTION: A sliding bearing device for a structure disposed between an upper structure 3 and a lower structure 2 of a structure such as a building and a bridge includes: an elastic body 8 disposed at the lower structure side; a lower sliding member bearing member 10 disposed on the elastic body and formed with a plurality of recesses 12 on the surface; a lower sliding member 14 inserted and installed in the plurality of recesses with its upper surface projected from the surface of the lower part sliding member bearing member; and a low friction upper sliding member 16 disposed at the upper structure side where the plurality of lower sliding members are horizontally brought into surface-contact with the plurality of upper sliding members to form a sliding surface which is high in surface pressure.
