PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Cu-Zn alloy (brass) which has high strength, is excellent in bendability and is simultaneously excellent in stress relaxation resistance, by making a crystal structure proper.;SOLUTION: A Cu-Zn alloy plate excellent in stress relaxation resistance contains 15 to 37 mass% of Zn with the balance being Cu and inevitable impurities. On a cross section vertical to a plate surface and parallel with a rolling direction, an average grain size in a direction parallel to the rolling direction is 7 to 15 μm, standard deviations of the grain sizes in the direction parallel to the rolling direction and the direction vertical to it are both 1.5 μm or smaller, and when the average grain size in the direction parallel to the rolling direction is defined as (a) and the average grain size in the direction vertical to the rolling direction is defined as (b) on the cross section, an aspect ratio a/b is 1.6≤a/b≤2.6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
