PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform quench detection more accurately than conventional methods.;SOLUTION: The superconducting magnet device 1 comprises: a superconducting coil 11; and a first voltage difference detection unit DU(1). The first voltage difference detection unit DU(1) detects the voltage difference of a voltage between a first endpoint EPA and a first division point DPA of the superconducting coil and a voltage between a second endpoint EPB and a second division point DPB of the superconducting coil. The first division point DPA is located on a coil conductor between the middle point MP and the first endpoint EPA of the superconducting coil.
