PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire damage diagnostic method for diagnosing propriety of reuse of a high-strength reinforcing bar for a reinforced concrete member using concrete containing specific coarse aggregate.SOLUTION: In a fire damage diagnostic method, propriety of reuse of a high-strength reinforcing bar to be used for a reinforced concrete member damaged by fire is diagnosed. First, concrete in the vicinity of the high-strength reinforcing bar which becomes an investigation object is collected, this collected sample is analyzed by X-ray diffraction to calculate relation between a diffraction angle 2 of X-rays and diffraction intensity. Next, for zeolites in the concrete, whether or not a peak of the diffraction intensity is observed in the vicinity of the diffraction angle 2=10° of X-rays is determined. When this determination is affirmative, since heat receiving temperature of the reinforcing bar does not reach about 400°C, it is determined that the reuse of the high-strength reinforcing bar is possible, and when this determination is negative, since the heat receiving temperature of the reinforcing bar reaches about 400°C, it is determined that the reuse of the high-strength reinforcing bar is impossible.
