PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for raising seedling, which can raise plants, where replant failure is easy to occur, labor-savingly and efficiently and replant them, and a method of raising large seedling using it.SOLUTION: There is provided a container for raising seedling, wherein unwoven fabric of long fibers with a density of 0.3 to 0.5g/cm, a thickness of 0.2 to 0.4 mm, and a fiber diameter of 10 to 30 m and having permeability is used. Moreover, there is provided a method of raising large seedling, in which small seedling is planted for eight months or over in culture soil where coated fertilizers of 0.05 to 0.25 g/L in nitrogen components are mixed and the small seedling is raised for 240 days or over while being watered, in the container for raising seedling using unwoven fabric of long fibers with a density of 0.3 to 0.5g/cm, a thickness of 0.2 to 0.4 mm, a fiber diameter of 10 to 30 m and having permeability.
