ETC SYSTEM AND MANAGEMENT METHOD OF VEHICLE POSITION IN ETC SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ETC system capable of continuing ETC operation even in a case where a vehicle detector has abnormality in the ETC system.;SOLUTION: An ETC system is a system for automatic toll collection with radio communication between an antenna installed on a road and an on-vehicle device loaded on a vehicle. The ETC system is installed in parallel with a traveling direction of a vehicle and includes: a plurality of vehicle detectors for detecting the movement conditions of the vehicle; and wireless vehicle management means for detecting a vehicle position with radio communication. When abnormality occurs in a vehicle detector, the position detection of a vehicle is switched from the vehicle detector to the vehicle management means with radio communication.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
