The intersection displacement amounts Yand Yare obtained from the patches Tb and Tc corresponding to the landing displacement amounts when the moving speeds of the head are VB and VC extending over only a part of a range of the scanning direction of the recording sheet P. The average values Yand Yof the intersection displacement amounts over the whole area in the scanning direction of the recording sheet P, when the moving speeds of the head are Vand Vare decided respectively from the difference of the intersection displacement amounts Yand Yin the printing positions of the patches Tb and Tc obtained from the interpolation equation and the average value Y, and the intersection displacement amounts Yand Y.
