PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tuning method that does not allow the durability of reeds to deteriorate.SOLUTION: Reeds 22 and 24 have integrally molded fastening parts 22a and 24a and reed bodies 22b and 24b. The reeds 22 and 24, with the center points of the fastening parts 22a and 24a being fastened near through holes of reed holding plates by spot welding or the like, are disposed in a cantilever form. The reeds 22 and 24 are so tuned as to give prescribed pitches by forming molten and evaporating parts 30c and 30d, which are irradiated parts, on their surfaces by irradiation with laser beams. When the pitches of the reeds 22 and 24 are to be tuned, the molten and evaporating part 30c is disposed toward the tip of each of the reeds 22 and 24 if the pitches are to be raised, or the molten and evaporating part 30d is disposed on each of the fastening parts 22a and 24a of the reeds 22 and 24 if the pitches are to be lowered.
