PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring each concentration of hippuric acid and methylhippuric acid in a biological sample.;SOLUTION: The method includes (1) making an enzyme for hydrolyzing hippuric acid into benzoic acid and glycine and hydrolyzing methylhippuric acid into methylbenzoic acid (toluic acid) and glycine, act on the biological sample collected from a living body; (2) oxidizing a reaction liquid obtained in a process (1); (3) mixing the reaction liquid obtained in a process (2), and D-amino acid and D-amino acid oxidase; (4) specifying the concentration of a hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution produced in a process (3); (5) mixing the reaction liquid obtained in the process (1), and D-amino acid and D-amino acid oxidase separately from the processes (2)-(4); (6) specifying the concentration of a hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution produced in a process (5); and (7) computing each concentration of hippuric acid and methylhippuric acid in the biological sample from the concentration of the hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution obtained in the process (4) and from the concentration of the hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution obtained in a process (6).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
