PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control method for a diesel engine and an operation control device for the diesel engine, capable of operating while satisfying a prescribed value of an exhaust gas regulation even if operation of an exhaust gas aftertreatment device is stopped.;SOLUTION: An operation region WG and a non-operation region UW of an exhaust gas aftertreatment device 30 are set in a relationship between the rotation speed and output of an engine 1. The non-operation regions UW of the exhaust gas aftertreatment device 30 are set at a plurality of points. An operation region WE where the engine 1 can be operated includes rotation speed and output both including a value of zero in a relationship between the rotation speed and output of the engine 1, and is set in the non-operation region UW of the exhaust gas aftertreatment device 30. The operation region WE of the engine 1 is included in the non-operation region UW of the exhaust gas aftertreatment device 30, and thus the prescribed value of the exhaust gas regulation can be satisfied even if operation of the exhaust gas aftertreatment device 30 is stopped.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
