PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic index determination device capable of tracking variation of a traffic situation in a comparatively short time to determine a traffic index showing a degree of congestion of roads connected at an intersection.;SOLUTION: The traffic index determination device comprises: means for receiving sensor information from a vehicle sensor placed in a road and detecting vehicles; means for acquiring vehicle information measured in a vehicle running on the road; means for smoothing a traffic index for a first period of time based on sensor information for the first period of time, sensor information for a second period of time before the first period of time, and reference vehicle information being vehicle information acquired before acquiring next sensor information after the first period of time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
