PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for rotation drive force transmission, that is safe and prevents the gear, etc., of a connecting part for transmitting rotation drive force from being damaged even when overload greater than estimated one is applied, by improving space saving property and operability of maintenance, that excels in durability, facilitates and ensures maintenance work, thereby reducing time and labor and cost, and that is capable of stably forming a high quality image, and to provide a device for rotaion drive force transmission, that is simple and compact in configuration and low in cost, and to provide a process cartridge and an image forming apparatus.;SOLUTION: The device includes: a rotation shaft 3 held by a driving body 1 or a driven body 2 so as to be rotatable; the helical gear 4 held so as to be movable in the direction of the thrust of the rotation shaft 3; and a rotation drive force disconnecting means 5 that disconnects the connection part from the engaging helical gear by enabling the helical gear 4 to move by virtue of thrust force generated when the rotation drive force has excessive load.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
