PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array antenna applicable to multiband with a compact and simple structure, and to provide an adaptive directivity receiver.;SOLUTION: The array antenna includes a shared antenna aperture plane having first through m-th main grid lines G_h1, G_h2, G_h3, ..., G_hm connecting the ends on both sides of first and second end stripes G_pp1, G_pp2, and auxiliary grid lines G_v41, G_v42, G_v43, G_v44 orthogonal to the main grid lines. Intersection of the m-th main grid line G_hm and the first auxiliary grid line G_v41 is selected as a feeding point P₁, intersection of the m-th main grid line G_hm and the third auxiliary grid line G_v43 is selected as a feeding point P₂, intersection of the first main grid line and the fourth auxiliary grid line G_v44 is selected as a feeding point P₃, and intersection of the first main grid line and the second auxiliary grid line G_v42 is selected as a feeding point P₄.
