PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for application to mucous membrane, enhanced in antiseptic power of tromethamol, exhibiting a superior antiseptic effect without blending conventionally used anticeptics, also high in safety for inflamed mucous membranes, and specially to provide ophthalmological and otolaryngological compositions.;SOLUTION: A method of enhancing the antiseptic power of the ophthalmological composition includes blending 0.0001-0.1 w/v% of a terpenoid selected from the group consisting of menthol, camphor, borneol, geraniol and linalool, with an ophthalmological composition containing 0.1-5 w/v% of tromethamol.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
