PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate laminating holder which enhances machining accuracy and productivity in an end surface polishing process, is easily handled and can perform outer circumferential end surface polishing and inner circumferential end surface polishing without taking a glass substrate laminate apart.;SOLUTION: The glass substrate laminating holder used for outer circumferential end surface polishing and/or inner circumferential end surface polishing of a glass substrate laminate with a disc-shaped glass substrate for a magnetic recording medium having a hole in the center laminated thereon has a shaft. The shaft is inserted into the hole of the glass substrate for a magnetic recording medium, supports an inner circumferential end surface of the glass substrate laminate, and adjusts the position of the glass substrate for a magnetic recording medium. The shaft includes a clamp bolt fitting part capable of fitting a clamp bolt with both ends of the shaft, and a shaft fixing part for supporting the glass substrate laminate around the shaft. A method for polishing an end surface of a glass substrate for a magnetic recording medium using the glass substrate laminating holder, and a method for manufacturing a glass substrate for a magnetic recording medium are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
