PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorbing body for a vehicle providing the expected shock absorbing effect by improving shock absorbing performance as a whole, by balancing stress to a shock of a part reinforced by recessed ribs with stress to a shock of a part thinned by the blow ratio in blow molding. PSOLUTION: This shock absorbing body 1 is formed in a hollow shape by blow-molding thermoplastic plastic, and has one wall 4 and the other wall 5 mutually opposed at an interval. The recessed ribs 6 and 7 of integrating mutual tip parts as a welding part 8 by respectively recessing the one wall 4 and the other wall 5, are dispersively formed in a plurality.
