PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an arrey antenna which includes sub-array antennas, that restrain GLs (grating lobes), as well as, the apreture effeciency of which dose not deteriorate.;SOLUTION: The array antenna 3 is constituted by arraying a plurality of sub-array antennas 2, including a plurality of element antennas 1, wherein respective phase centers of the plurality of sub-array antennas 2 are arranged linearly, and sub-array antenna intervals of the respective phase centers are set to increase, in the order by a constant shift amount δ from a sub-array antenna at one end to a sub-array antenna at the other end. Respective sizes of the plurality of sub-array antennas 2 are set larger, in the order such that as the sub-array antenna intervals increase, the gaps to adjacent sub-array antennas become smaller.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
