PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and accurately determine whether self-photographing is being performed.SOLUTION: A self-photographing determination device comprises: face region detection means for detecting a face region from an image taken by an imaging element (S109 and S111); focus condition detection means for detecting the focus condition of at least one of the left lower region and the right lower region of the detected face region (S117); and determination means which, when the focus condition of at least one of the left lower region and the right lower region detected by the focus condition detection means is lower than a predetermined level, determines that self-photographing is being performed.
