PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply detect and quantify hexavalent chromium and to obtain a monoclonal antibody used on simply detecting and quantifying hexavalent chromium. PSOLUTION: Hexavalent chromium contained in a test sample is separated from other metals than hexavalent chromium, and then the separated hexavalent chromium is caused to react with a reducing agent to be reduced to trivalent chromium. The trivalent chromium is caused to react with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid to give a trivalent chromium complex. The trivalent chromium is measured by an immunological technique using a monoclonal antibody which is produced by a hybridoma entrusted in an accession number FERM P-21618 and specifically recognizes the trivalent chromium complex, so as to qualitatively or quantitatively analyze hexavalent chromium contained in the test sample.
