PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a calculation load and improve prediction accuracy in a simulation for checking a balance of power supply and demand.;SOLUTION: A supply-and-demand balance check device 2 performs the steps of: calculating supply capacity from respective data in a supply and demand operation plan of an automatic power supply system 3 (S401); searching and extracting a similar past demand curve of the automatic power supply system 3 that is to be a demand prediction curve (total demand) (S402); taking in an actual value of pumped-storage power generation from the automatic power supply system 3 (S403); calculating shortage of power from the supply capacity, the total demand and the actual value of the pumped-storage power generation (S404); terminating the processing if the power is sufficiently supplied (N in S405); correcting supply capacity with a national accommodation power reception curve (S406) if the power is in short supply (Y in S405); creating verification data of an actual result of supply and demand (S407); calculating shortage of power from the corrected supply capacity, the total demand, and the actual value of the pumped-storage power generation (S408); and determining whether or not the power is in short supply again (S405).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
