PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system and balancing method for power supply demand, capable of balancing power supply demand without using a high capacity of power storage means by adopting a gas engine generator and a system stabilizer.;SOLUTION: A power supply system 10, having gas engine generators 13, 13a, 13b for supplying electric power to a plurality of pieces of equipment 12, 12a, 12b as well as a commercial system 11 and a system stabilizer 14 for selectively blocking the equipment 12, 12a, 12b due to a power failure of the commercial system 11, includes: power storage means 21 that has a maximum output of 0.5 to 1.0 time inclusive as many as a maximum output of the gas engine generator 13 with the maximum output highest of the plurality of gas engine generators 13, 13a, 13b; control means for adjusting unbalancing of power demand generated due to a power failure of the commercial system 11 by selective blocking of the gas engine generators 13, 13a, 13b and charging and discharging of the power storage means 21.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
