PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive rib body for a folded plate roof and a mounting structure of the rib body allowing a solar panel, a seeding and planting roof, a slight facility apparatus and a component serving as a maintenance passage on the roof to be suitably mounted on the seam fastening type folded plate roof, having versatility and easily and firmly mountable. PSOLUTION: The rib body for the folded plate roof includes a rib body part 1 including an elongate flat main plate 11 with a length substantially equivalent to the width of a folded plate roof plate 6 of the folded plate roof B, and main side parts 12 formed on both width direction sides of the flat main plate 11; a first holding member 2 settled between both main side parts 12 of the rib body part 1, and including a seam holding part 24 formed in recessed shape to enclose a seam fastening connection part J of the folded plate roof B, and a seam holding surface 25 located below the seam holding part 24; a second holding member 3 including a seam holding part 34 formed in recessed shape and a seam holding surface 35 in the same way as the first holding member 2; and a fastening implement 4 causing the first holding part 2 and the second holding member 3 to approach and separate.
