PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a choice selection and character input device capable of performing a character input and choice selection on a terminal device using a touch type input device with a simple operation, a choice selection and character input method, a computer readable program and a recording medium.;SOLUTION: A terminal device having a touch type input device including choice input means for detecting a tap or slide operation is provided with a plurality of choice groups in which each choice is arranged in the shape of a slant line or arch with respect to an operation screen. The terminal device is configured by having means for selecting a choice in the choice groups by interlocking, operation means for selectively deciding the choice by moving to a screen region other than a group part from a choice group part having a selected choice by slide operation execution and a selected state release in accordance with the movement, and means for switching and displaying by the number of tapping times to the choice when a relevant character exists in a selected kana character.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
