PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste disposal installation and a waste disposal method for efficiently burying/disposing of waste by improving the form of a waste disposal installation, the opening/closing and movement of provisional lids, the layout of a crane, etc. to construct a compact and simple structure to the disposal installation, in a radioactive waste disposal site used for geological disposal of low-level radioactive waste, and the like.;SOLUTION: Unit silos 11 for storing waste are disposed on the same circumference to form a doughnut-shaped silo group 12 in top plane view. A waste carrying-in device 30 for carrying the waste into the respective unit silos 11 is circumferentially rotatably installed at the center of the doughnut. The provisional lids 40 for opening/closing upper openings of the respective unit silos 11 are installed so that they can travel circumferentially on the silo group 12. The waste carried in the center of the doughnut is charged into and set in each unit silo 11 opening the provisional lid 40. The provisional lid 40 is closed to prevent leakage of radioactivity and intrusion of rainwater.
