Way of interruption when working for thermal insulation box and flue repair of internal coke oven flue

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a furnace temperature from lowering while working in a coke oven flue with a large-heat insulating box inserted therein.;SOLUTION: The heat-insulating box 21 for work is inserted into the inside of the flue 6 through an opening 6a included in the flue 6 of the coke oven 1 during a repair of the inside of the flue 6 of the coke oven 1. The box includes an opening 21a for prevention of a combustion exhaust gas influx toward a downstream of the flue 6, and an inlet 21b opposed to the opening 6a provided on the flue 6, and further includes an openable and closable window 21d at the area facing toward an upstream of the flue 6. During an interruption of work when repair is not conducted in the heat-insulating box, an exhaust gas flows into the heat-insulating box to reduce airflow resistance and to increase an exhaust gas flow [(a fuel gas flow)+(an air flow for combustion)], thus work is continued without stopping a fuel gas feed or lowering the furnace temperature.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
