PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To repair the inside of the flue of a coke oven without stopping the combustion of the coke oven, while maintaining a good work environmental atmosphere.;SOLUTION: An opening 1a is disposed in the flue 1 of a coke oven 2, and a heat-insulating box 5 for works is inserted into the inside of the flue 1 from the opening 1a. A worker M entered the heat-insulating box 5 from the opening 5c disposed in the heat-insulating box 5 repairs the inside of the flue 1 surrounded with the heat-insulating box 5. When the inside of the flue of the coke oven is repaired, a good work environment can be maintained, and a work time can be shortened.
