PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for generating performance measurements for a wireless network.SOLUTION: The method may comprise: obtaining, at a base station, performance measurements and location data from a mobile device; storing, at the base station and based on the location data, at least a portion of the obtained measurements to at least one virtual geographic bin of a storage array, where each virtual geographic bin corresponds to a different geographic area within a cell serviced by the base station; aggregating, at the base station, at least a portion of the measurements stored in each virtual geographic bin into one or more location-based performance measurements; and transmitting, from the base station, at least a portion of the location-based performance measurements to a network manager.
