PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavefront aberration detection method and a compensation method, which are capable of improving hologram reproduction quality.;SOLUTION: Provided is an optical information reproduction device for reproducing a hologram recording medium which stores holograms which are interference patterns obtained by having reference light interfere with signal light. The device includes; a photo-detector for detecting reproduction light obtained by irradiating recorded holograms with the reference light; an optical element for splitting the reference light into first reference light and second reference light; a wavefront detector for detecting wavefront aberrations by having the first reference light interfere with the second reference light; and a wavefront compensator for compensating wavefront of the reference light.
