Stylus molding method, stylus, and shape measuring machine

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mold a stylus with high reliability by integrally molding a tip sphere from the same material as a stem with high efficiency in a short time. PSOLUTION: The molding method is a molding method for a stylus 100, having a rod-like stem 104 and a tip sphere 106 attached to a tip of the stem 104, is used in a probe for contact type measurement. The molding method includes: a process of positioning the stem 104; a process of irradiating a tip portion of the positioned stem 104 with laser beam 128; and a process of irradiating the tip portion of the stem 104 with the laser beam 128 to melt the tip portion, and molding the melted portion into the tip sphere 106 by surface tension and leaving the tip sphere until having been solidified.
