PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the speed of processing by simultaneously performing processing for obtaining organization into a segment by a single processing module and modification analysis processing, and also requiring only one-time sentence scanning. PSOLUTION: A natural language analysis device for analyzing a natural language sentence which is dividable into segments and inter-segment modification relation exist includes: a morpheme analyzing means for analyzing the sentence to be analyzed into morphemes; and segment organizing modification analyzing means for performing the organization of the segments and the modification analysis by determining dependence relation between the respective words in a morphemic row. The segment organizing modification analyzing means stores the word with an undefined dependence destination, while detecting the head of the segment, in a process for organizing the segments till the end of the sentence to be analyzed. Then, after the determination of the division of the segments by the determination of the dependence relation, the inter-segment modification is determined by determining the dependence relation of the words stored in a stack.
