PSOLUTION: The amount of discrimination calculating part 131 calculates an exposure value (EV), an SD point and an HL point from image data and Exif information. A range correction method deciding part 132 decides, if the correction object image is a high-key image, as being a low-key image and or a drak mage based ON the EV value, the SD point and the HL point. When a range correction execution part 133 is the high-key image and SD range suppression is executed; in the case of the low-key image and the HL range suppression is executed; and in the case of the gloomy image and HLSD range suppression is executed.
