PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic positioning system capable of providing position information even in a place in which GPS positioning is impossible or difficult to be performed or an acoustic positioning system capable of providing position information with high accuracy in a pinpoint manner.;SOLUTION: The acoustic positioning system includes a sound emitting device, a portable terminal device, and an acoustic positioning server. The sound emitting device emits an acoustic ID. The acoustic positioning server receives identification information from the portable terminal device and replies to it by sending position information on the sound emitting device corresponding to the identification information. The portable terminal device collects the acoustic ID that is emitted by the sound emitting device to demodulate the identification information and transmits the demodulated identification information to the acoustic positioning server to acquire position information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
