PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating methylacetylene and 3C hydrocarbons excluding methylacetylene.;SOLUTION: The separation method includes a first step of bringing methylacetylene and 3C hydrocarbons excluding methylacetylene into simultaneous contact with a coordinated polymer having a pillared layer structure containing a ligand represented by formula (1) wherein X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6, X7 and X8 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a methyl group, and a metal ion, and (2) a second step of separating methylacetylene and 3C hydrocarbons excluding methylacetylene based on differences in the retention capability for each gas thereof, under the same pressure and temperature conditions, of the coordinated polymer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
