PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer foil film capable of forming a mask for forming a catalyst layer in positions opposing both sides of an electrolyte membrane without damaging the electrolyte membrane. PSOLUTION: The transfer foil film is used when a catalyst layer for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell is formed as a pattern on a solid polymer electrolyte membrane, wherein the transfer foil film is composed of a mask forming layer comprising a release layer and a base material film.
