PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for an electronic label system to acquire data from a POS system with relative ease.;SOLUTION: A method for acquiring data from a point-of-sale (POS) system (1) is executed by an electronic label system (2). The electronic label system (2) includes a host (21) and a virtual printer unit (24) operable to communicate with the host (21) over a network. The POS system (1) is operable to obtain sales information from a database (13) thereof and to transmit the sales information to the virtual printer unit (24).
