LIBRARY DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING NUMBER OF ROTATIONS OF MULTIPLE COOLING FANS IN LIBRARY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibration due to mechanical resonance caused by rotation of a plurality of cooling fans in a library device having a plurality of ODDs.;SOLUTION: A cooling fan control unit controls a plurality of cooling fans so as to make the numbers of rotations thereof coprime. As need arises, the cooling fan control unit controls the number of rotations of a spindle motor provided in the ODD and the number of rotations of the plurality of cooling fans to become coprime. This constitution can prevent vibration due to mechanical resonance of a common divisor of the respective numbers of rotations so as to dissolve a problem of a transfer speed decrease in ODD. The number of rotations of each cooling fan is controlled according to the temperature of each component of the library device to decrease temperature irregularity inside the device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
