PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing homoallyl alcohol or homoallyl hydrazide, comprising allylating a ketone or an N-acylhydrazone in the presence of a catalytic amount of indium.;SOLUTION: This method for producing an allylated ketone, comprising allylating a ketone or an N-acylhydrazone with a boron-containing allylating agent represented by formula XXXIX (wherein, R³ is H or an aliphatic hydrocarbon group), is characterized by using monvalent or zero-valent indium in an amount of 1 to 50 mol% based on the ketone or the N-acylhydrazone as a catalyst.
