PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even a person who is not familiar with operation to set high-speed photographing easily. PSOLUTION: A moving image imaging apparatus includes: an imaging section 10 for imaging an object at an imaging period of not more than 1/25 seconds; a display section 52 for displaying image data photographed by the imaging section 10; a visual field range adjustment means for adjusting a visual field range including at least one of the focus, magnification, and imaging position of the imaging section 10; an imaging period setting means 31 for setting an imaging period when the imaging section 10 images the object in the visual field range adjusted by the visual field range adjustment means; a shutter speed setting means 38 for setting the shutter speed of the imaging section 10 in a range of not more than an inverse number of the imaging period set by the imaging period setting means 31; and a guidance means for urging the setting of the shutter speed by the shutter speed setting means 38 after the setting of the imaging period by the imaging period setting means 31.
