PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly generate a pixel of an empty area wherein there is no pixel between respective pixels, according to an edge regarding an image, wherein a plurality of pixels are arranged in a checkered pattern.;SOLUTION: A pixel block cutout part 112 cuts out a pixel block including two adjacent pixels that are correction targets, two empty areas adjacent to both the two adjacent pixels, a prescribed number of pixels and empty areas around them from the image of the checkered pattern arrangement. An edge information acquisition part 113 obtains edge information based on the edge included in the pixel block. An optimum correction dictionary storage memory 122 stores an optimum correction dictionary. The optimum correction dictionary shows: a plurality of pieces of the edge information each showing the kind of the edge, having possibility of being included in the pixel block; a method for correcting the two adjacent pixels of the correction targets; and a method for generating the pixels of the two empty areas.
