PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical plating apparatus having a means for grasping a lower side of a web as moving countermeasure for the web in a plating vessel to hang the web in the width direction to transport, wherein the ununiformity of a plating film which occurs by the turbulence of liquid flow due to the opening and closing of a movable gate each when the lower side grasping part is goes out from the plating vessel is prevented.;SOLUTION: A lower side support rotating body 23 of the web rotating only in the plating vessel is included.
