PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method for easily evaluating the bearing installation position as a shaft system alignment irrespective of existing ships and newly-built ships.;SOLUTION: In the method for evaluating the alignment of a driving shaft system of a ship consisting of a crank shaft, an intermediate shaft and a propeller shaft of an engine, the displacement of the driving shaft system at the predetermined part is obtained by using the transfer matrix method based on the inclination of the crank shaft and the inclination of the intermediate shaft, the crank deflection of the crank shaft is obtained based on the displacement. Then, the alignment of the driving shaft system is evaluated by comparing the crank deflection with the preset evaluation condition, and for the bearing height of the crank shaft as the initial value of the displacement when using the transfer matrix method, the hull deformation in the initial installation state of the engine, the thermal expansion of the engine associated with the temperature change of the engine, and the hull deformation of an engine room double bottom associated with the draft change are taken into consideration.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
