PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding machine capable of molding at a high molten resin temperature by providing a means for preventing resin burning at the stop of a molding cycle. PSOLUTION: The injection molding machine switches the set temperature of a cylinder 3 from a high injection temperature 41 to a standard molding temperature 42 when stopping the molding cycle. Until the temperature of the cylinder 3 drops to the standard molding temperature 42, intermittent purge of repeating measuring and purging in a predetermined cycle is carried out to prevent resin burning. When resuming the molding cycle, the set temperature of the cylinder 3 is switched to a high injection temperature 44 to heat the cylinder 3 by heaters 21, 22, etc. The intermittent purge is carried out until the temperature of the cylinder 3 reaches a high injection temperature 47.
