Howling suppression apparatus, howling suppression program and howling suppression method

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress howling in any environment while preventing sound quality from deteriorating in any kind of environment.;SOLUTION: A howling canceler 1 includes a howling detector 3 which detects whether howling is occurring; an adaptive filter 2 which finds an estimated value x^_k of an impulse response between a speaker 11 and a microphone 12, when howling is detected to calculate a false echo z^_k; and a subtractor 9, which subtracts the calculated pseudo-echo z^_k from an output signal y_k of the microphone 12. The howling canceler 1 cancels routing of a sound from the speaker 11 to the microphone 12 so that a frequency component need not be reduced when the howling is suppressed. Furthermore, even if new howling is newly generated due to environmental changes, an estimated value x^_k at that time is found and a pseudo-echo z^_k, is calculated which is subtracted from an output signal y_k , and howling is suppressed speedily.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
