PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tundish which is low in a facility cost and a refractory cost although the tundish comprises both of a stopper and a sliding nozzle, and can prevent the generation of vortexes just above the sliding nozzle when molten steel became few in the tundish in the final stage of casting.;SOLUTION: The tundish 1 for continuous casting comprises the stopper 2 and the siding nozzle 4. The stopper can be turned to the position just above the sliding nozzle and to the refuge position separated from the sliding nozzle, and also can move upward and downward at the position just above the sliding nozzle and at the refuge position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
