PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately discriminate signal components of a subject tissue from signal components of contrast medium and appropriately discriminate stationary contrast medium from moving contrast medium.;SOLUTION: A probe 14 sends ultrasonic waves of low acoustic pressure where signal components of bubble becomes dominant out of the signal components of the subject tissue contained in secondary harmonics and signal components of bubble contained in the contrast medium of a received signal. A receiving circuit 16 forms two receiving signals corresponding to two times of transmissions for every beam directions. A high pass filter 24 extracts the secondary harmonic components contained in the received signals, namely, a signal where components from the bubble are dominant. A movement component extraction section 30 extract the movement components of the bubble by subtracting the two received signals corresponding to the beam directions for every beam direction. A stationary component extraction section 32 extracts the stationary components of the bubble by subtracting the two received signals corresponding to the beam directions for every beam direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
