Snow melting / freezing prevention device at turnout

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow melting and freeze proofing device which is proof against damage of a floor plate in spite of vibration of a rail during passage of trains, and excellent in durability and heat efficiency. PSOLUTION: There is provided a turnout which is set up by fixing a stock rail on the floor plate on a sleeper, and arranging a tongue rail inside the stock rail in a manner sliding on the floor plate, and functions to switch a point by moving the tongue rail. Herein a tongue rail sliding plate portion of the floor plate has a plurality of insulated wire insertion holes bored therein near an upper surface thereof at predetermined intervals, and insulated wires are inserted into the insulated wire insertion holes, respectively. Then an AC source is connected to the tip of each insulated wire, and therefore the floor plate functions as a heating steel plate heated due to Joule heat. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
